Ohio Rev. Code § 5534.154: PFC Richard 'Rick' Wesley McFarland Memorial Highway.

In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the eastbound and westbound lanes of state route number thirty-nine between the intersection of that route and Mansfield Lucas road and the intersection of that route and Smart road, in Richland county, shall be known as the "PFC Richard 'Rick' Wesley McFarland Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.
