Okla. Stat. tit. 11, § 11-47-102: Grant of power to municipality

Any municipality may make, adopt, amend, extend, add to, or

carry out a municipal plan as provided in this article and create by

ordinance a planning commission with the powers and duties herein

set forth. The planning commission shall be designated as the city

planning commission.
