Okla. Stat. tit. 62, § 62-426b: Term "governing board" defined

The term governing board as used in this act shall mean the

council or commission of a city; the town council or board of

trustees of a town; the board of education of an independent school

district; and the board of county commissioners for and on behalf of

townships, counties, and dependent school districts.
