Okla. Stat. tit. 74, § 74-9051: Legislature recognition

The Legislature recognizes the significant economic impact of

the extreme weather event that occurred during the month of February

2021. In the wake of this weather event, unprecedented utility

costs will be passed through to Oklahoma customers of utilities from

unregulated utility entities. The purpose of this act is to provide

financing options to these entities that may not otherwise be

available and thereby allow customers to pay their utility bills at

a lower amount and over a longer period.
