ORS 181A.035: Appointment of Deputy Superintendent of State Police.

(1) The Superintendent of State Police may, with the approval of the Governor as to person and salary, appoint a Deputy Superintendent of State Police.
(2) The deputy superintendent must have served as a captain or in higher rank in the Oregon State Police not less than one year prior to appointment as deputy superintendent.
