ORS 459.417: Statewide household hazardous waste public education program.

The Department of Environmental Quality shall implement a statewide household hazardous waste public education program. The program shall include but need not be limited to providing information about:
(1) Alternatives to disposal of household hazardous waste at solid waste disposal sites;
(2) Methods of reusing or recycling household hazardous waste; and
(3) Alternatives to the use of products that lead to the generation of household hazardous waste.
