The board of commissioners may pass an ordinance to equal or exceed the minimum requirements of the Uniform Construction Code in accordance with and subject to the requirements of section 503 of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act. An ordinance exceeding the provisions of the Uniform Construction Code must meet the standards provided in section 503(j)(2) of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act.
