R.I. Gen. Laws § 23-14.1-3: Health professional loan repayment program established.

There is established within the department, to be administered by the director, the health professional loan repayment program whose purpose shall be to support the recruitment and retention of high-quality health professionals working with underserved populations in identified health professional shortage areas (HPSAs) by providing loan repayment to eligible health professionals to defray the cost of their professional education.
