R.I. Gen. Laws § 36-12.1-27: Severability.

(a) If any provision of this chapter 36-12.1 of this title, any rule, or regulation made thereunder, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction the remainder of this chapter, rules, or regulations and the application of those provisions to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

(b) The invalidity of any section or sections or parts of any section or sections of those chapters shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this chapter.
