R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-40-2: Definitions.

For the purposes of this chapter:
(1) “Receiving agency” means any department or agency of the federal government or a state or local government that receives an employee of another government under this chapter.
(2) “Sending agency” means any department or agency of the federal government or a state or local government that sends any employee thereof to another government agency under this chapter.
