R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-64.12-9: Powers of local redevelopment.

The provisions of this chapter with the exception of § 42-64.12-7(d) shall not be deemed to abrogate or diminish the powers heretofore exercised by local redevelopment agencies, as provided for in chapters 31 and 32 of title 45 of the general laws, to undertake redevelopment projects.
