R.I. Gen. Laws § 45-39.2-8.1: Limitation of powers.

All services provided by the electric department of the electric and water district that constitute public utility services within the meaning of § 39-1-2 or community antennae television systems (CATV) services within the meaning of § 39-19-1 shall be subject to the applicable jurisdictions of the public utilities commission and the division of public utilities and carriers.
