S.C. Code Ann. § 39-5-1000: Waiver.

A waiver or limitation of any prohibition, limitation, requirement, or right to remedies established by this article, by any child or parent, is unlawful, contrary to public policy, void ab initio, and of no effect, and no court or arbitrator may enforce or give effect to any such waiver, notwithstanding any contract or choice-of-law provision in a contract.
