S.C. Code Ann. § 40-15-570: Dentist of record required.

Except in situations requiring emergency treatment, a dentist of record is required for all patients being treated through teledentistry. The dentist of record will remain primarily responsible for all of the patient's dental treatment, regardless of whether treatment has been delegated to a teledentistry provider.
