SDCL § 32-1-9: Motor vehicle technology fee--Deposit.

There is imposed an additional, nonrefundable motor vehicle technology fee on any transaction performed pursuant to chapters 32-3, 32-3A, 32-5, 32-9, and 32-10, which is subject to an existing fee. The additional fee is two dollars per transaction.

Fees collected under this section must be deposited into the motor vehicle fund.
