SDCL § 34-26A-21.1: Record of the cremation--Retention.

Upon completion of a cremation, crematory personnel shall prepare a record of the cremation, and include the name of the decedent and the date and time of the cremation.

The crematory shall retain the record required by this section in accordance with the record retention provisions set forth in § 34-26A-25.1.
