SDCL § 34-26A-3: Crematory operator--Licensed and certified--Certification requirements.

The operation of any crematory in this state, other than a medical facility crematory, must at all times be under the direction and supervision of a person who:

(1) Is licensed as a funeral director, in accordance with chapter 36-19; and

(2) Has successfully completed a crematory operator program approved by the State Board of Funeral Service.
