SDCL § 36-25-8: Officers of commission--Terms of office.

The members of the commission shall, within thirty days after their appointment, meet and elect a president and vice-president from their own number, and elect or appoint a secretary-treasurer who need not be one of their number, each of whom shall hold their respective office for a term of one year and until their successors are elected and qualified.
