Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-6-418: Career-based experience

(a) As used in this section, "career-based experience" means an opportunity for a student to participate in on-the-job training or a structured educational experience that allows the student to apply the student's knowledge and skills in a work environment and to develop an understanding of workplace expectations. (b) (1) An LEA may provide career-based experiences to the LEA's high school students and may allow the LEA's high school students to participate in any available career-based experiences. (2) An LEA may establish partnerships with industry and local businesses to provide career-based experiences to the LEA's high school students. Acts 2020, ch. 527, § 1.
