Tex. Election Code § 212.081: APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER.

Where this section sits in the code

This subchapter applies to a recount in an election on an office in which:

(1) a majority vote is required for nomination or election; and

(2) votes were cast for more than two candidates.
