SUBCHAPTER B. REGISTRATION OF RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE LOAN SERVICERS

A person may not act as a residential mortgage loan servicer, directly or indirectly, for a residential mortgage loan secured by a lien on residential real estate in this state unless the person is registered under this chapter or is exempt under Section 158.052.
