(a) After a major information resources project has been completed, a state agency shall evaluate and report to the quality assurance team on whether the project met the agency's objectives or other expectations.

(b) The state auditor may:

(1) provide an independent evaluation of the completed project to ensure the validity of the results reported under Subsection (a); and

(2) send the evaluation to the legislative audit committee.
