SUBCHAPTER B. DELEGATES AND ALTERNATE DELEGATES

(a) An alternate delegate automatically fills a vacancy in the office of the alternate delegate's paired delegate unless the office of the alternate delegate is simultaneously vacated.

(b) Except as provided by Subsection (a), the house that appointed a delegate or alternate delegate shall fill a vacancy in the office of the delegate or alternate delegate as soon as possible after the vacancy occurs.
