- SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS AND ADMINISTRATION
(a) The commission shall implement a policy requiring the department to use appropriate technological solutions to improve the department's ability to perform its functions. The policy must ensure that the public is able to interact with the department on the Internet.
(b) The department shall periodically:
(1) review the department's existing information technology system to determine whether:
(A) the system's security should be upgraded; and
(B) the system provides the department with the best ability to monitor and investigate criminal activity on the Internet; and
(2) make any necessary improvements to the department's information technology system.
