  5. SUBCHAPTER C. CERTIFICATE OF OBLIGATION ACT

A contract executed under Section 271.054 or 271.056 is not required to be in writing if the work to be performed under the contract:

(1) is legal services;

(2) is to be done by the regular salaried employees of the issuer; or

(3) is to be paid for as the work progresses.
