Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1067.104: HOSPITAL OR HOSPITAL SYSTEM.

(a) The district shall provide for the establishment, administration, maintenance, operation, and financing of a hospital or hospital system in the district.

(b) The district may provide any services or facilities necessary for hospital or medical care, including:

(1) rural health clinics;

(2) outpatient clinics;

(3) nursing homes;

(4) home health care agencies;

(5) extended care facilities;

(6) assisted living or personal care facilities; and

(7) retirement, housing, and medical office buildings.
