Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1077.051: BOARD ELECTION; TERM.

(a) The district is governed by a board of nine directors.

(b) Directors serve staggered three-year terms.

(c) An election shall be held on the uniform election date in May of each year to elect the appropriate number of directors.
