Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1087.053: QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.

(a) A person may not be elected or appointed a director unless the person is:

(1) a resident of the district; and

(2) at least 18 years of age.

(b) A district employee may not serve as director.
