If the governing body of the city approves an addition or exclusion of land by affirmative vote, the district may add or exclude the land in the manner provided by Subchapter J, Chapter 49, Water Code, or by Subchapter H, Chapter 54, Water Code. The district may add land only if the land is located in the city's corporate limits.
