SUBCHAPTER D. POWERS AND DUTIES

The district has the rights, powers, privileges, and functions conferred, contemplated, and described by Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, including the rights, powers, privileges, and functions conferred by the general law applicable to municipal utility districts operating under Chapter 54, Water Code.
