Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 8511.0317: EMINENT DOMAIN.

(a) The authority may exercise the power of eminent domain under Chapter 21, Property Code, to acquire property of any kind inside or outside the authority that is appropriate for the exercise of its functions.

(b) The authority's authority under this section to exercise the power of eminent domain expired on September 1, 2013, unless the authority submitted a letter to the comptroller in accordance with Section 2206.101(b), Government Code, not later than December 31, 2012.
