SUBCHAPTER Z. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

If the commission is abolished under Section 12.005 or other law, the authorities, duties, and functions of the commission under this chapter shall be performed and carried out by a successor agency to be designated by the legislature before abolishment of the commission or, if the legislature does not designate the successor, by the secretary of state.
