SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS

A district is a special district and political subdivision of this state. A district is created under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, and is essential to accomplish the purposes of that section and Sections 52 and 52-a, Article III, Texas Constitution.
