Utah Code § 63N-3a-104: Maximum number of zones per county.

(1) As used in this section, "increment zone" means:

(a) a housing and transit reinvestment zone;

(b) a convention center reinvestment zone;

(c) a first homes investment zone;

(d) a home ownership promotion zone;

(e) a major sporting event venue zone; and

(f) an electrical energy development zone.

(2) In any given county:

(a) the maximum number of increment zones at light rail stations, not including a convention center reinvestment zone, is eight; and

(b) the maximum number of regionally significant development zones created as described in Part 2, Creation of Regionally Significant Development Zones, is eight.

(3) In addition to the caps described in Subsection (2), within a county of the first class, as classified under Section 17-60-104:

(a) the maximum number of housing and transit reinvestment zones at bus rapid transit stations is three;

(b) the maximum total combined number of housing and transit reinvestment zones and first home investment zones is 11; and

(c) the maximum total combined number of increment zones, not including a convention center reinvestment zone, is 14.
