A. For the purposes of this section, "face-to-face" shall include telemedicine.

B. The provider shall conduct face-to-face counseling sessions (either individual or group) at a frequency tailored to each individual based on an individualized assessment and the individual's care plan that was created after shared decision-making between the individual and the clinical team. At a minimum, the provider shall conduct one in-person session once a month for the first year of the individual's treatment and quarterly during the second year. The failure of an individual to participate in counseling sessions shall be addressed as part of the overall treatment process.
