The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
"Agency" means the Department of the Treasury.
"Escheator" means any individual who has been appointed and qualified, and who continues in service in accordance with §§ 55.1-2401, 55.1-2402, and 55.1-2403 of the Code of Virginia.
