8VAC20-671-450: Student achievement expectations

A. Schools shall develop strategies to address the learning, behavior, and communication needs of individual students in collaboration with the parent.

B. Participation in the Virginia assessment program by students with disabilities shall be prescribed by provisions of their IEPs or 504 Plans.

C. Each school that serves students who anticipate earning a diploma and graduating from a public Virginia high school must follow the requirements for graduation outlined in the Virginia Standards of Accreditation (8VAC20-132).

D. The school shall cooperate with the public school in the administration of SOL tests.

E. The school shall use testing and evaluation materials that are not racially or culturally discriminatory and do take into consideration the student's disabling conditions, racial background, and cultural background.
