Va. Code § 10.1-2011: Acceptance of gifts; expenditures; certain powers of educational institutions to apply

A. The Board is authorized to receive and administer grants from agencies of the United States government, and gifts, bequests and devises of property, and to expend or authorize the expenditure of funds derived from such sources and funds appropriated by the General Assembly to the Museum.B. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the Museum shall be deemed to be an institution of higher education within the meaning of §§ 23.1-101 and 23.1-103.1988, cc. 707, 891; 2004, c. 870.
