Va. Code § 15.2-5333: Rules as to patients

An authority shall have power to make rules governing the admission of patients to, and the care, conduct, and treatment of patients in, any hospital operated by the authority; to determine whether patients presented to the hospital for treatment are subjects for charity, to fix the compensation to be paid by patients other than those unable to assist themselves; and to maintain and operate isolation wards for the care and treatment of mental, contagious or other similar diseases.Code 1950, § 32-246; 1979, c. 719, § 15.1-1567; 1997, c. 587.
