Va. Code § 19.2-32: References to justices of the peace

References in law to justices of the peace shall be deemed to apply to magistrates unless the provisions of Chapter 3 (§ 19.2-26 et seq.) of this title shall render such reference inapplicable.Code 1950, § 19.1-380; 1973, c. 545; 1975, c. 495; 2002, c. 310.
