Va. Code § 2.2-2005: Creation of Agency; appointment of Chief Information Officer

A. There is hereby created the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA), which shall serve as the agency responsible for administration and enforcement of the provisions of this Chapter.B. The Governor shall appoint a Chief Information Officer of the Commonwealth (the CIO) to oversee the operation of VITA.
