The Board may provide by regulation for the extension, upon conditions designed to assure compliance with the purposes of this chapter, of the periods prescribed in §§ 32.1-263, 32.1-264 and 32.1-265 for the filing of death certificates, fetal death reports and medical certifications of cause of death and for the obtaining of out-of-state transit permits in cases in which compliance with the applicable prescribed period would result in undue hardship.Code 1950, § 32-353.23; 1960, c. 451; 1979, c. 711.
