Va. Code § 32.1-323: Department of Medical Assistance Services

There is hereby established a Department of Medical Assistance Services, hereinafter referred to in this chapter as the Department. The Department shall be under the direction of the Secretary of Human Resources and a Director of Medical Assistance Services who shall be appointed by the Governor, subject to confirmation by the General Assembly.1984, c. 781.
