Va. Code § 38.2-228: Proof of future financial responsibility

At the request of a named insured, a licensed property and casualty insurer shall provide without unreasonable delay to the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles proof of future financial responsibility as required by the provisions of Title 46.2.1986, c. 562.
