Va. Code § 38.2-5900: Definitions

As used in this chapter:"Covered person" means an individual, whether a policyholder, subscriber, enrollee, covered dependent, or member of a managed care health insurance plan, who is entitled to health care services or benefits provided, arranged for, paid for or reimbursed pursuant to a managed care health insurance plan as defined in and subject to regulation under Chapter 58, when such coverage is provided under a contract issued in this Commonwealth.1999, cc. 643, 649; 2000, c. 922; 2011, c. 788.
