Pursuant to the authority granted by §§ 38.2-223 and 38.2-3100.1, the Commission shall promulgate such regulations as may be necessary or appropriate to ensure that applicants for life or accident and sickness insurance coverage or for modifications to existing coverage are notified of test results whenever insurers require such applicants to submit to testing for human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV).1997, c. 290.
