Va. Code § 45.2-2116: Uranium mining permit applications; uranium mining deemed to have significant effect on surface

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no application for a uranium mining permit shall be accepted by any agency of the Commonwealth until a program for permitting uranium mining is established by statute. For the purpose of construing the definition of "mining" in § 45.2-1200, uranium mining is deemed to have a significant effect on the surface.1982, c. 269, § 45.1-283; 1983, c. 3; 2021, Sp. Sess.
