A. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a peer-to-peer vehicle sharing platform shall have an insurable interest in a shared vehicle during the vehicle sharing period.B. A peer-to-peer vehicle sharing platform may own and maintain as the named insured one or more policies of motor vehicle liability insurance that provides coverage for:1. Liabilities assumed by the peer-to-peer vehicle sharing platform under a vehicle sharing platform agreement;2. Any liability of the shared vehicle owner;3. Damage or loss to the shared vehicle; or4. Any liability of the shared vehicle driver.2020, c. 1266.
