Any person who is in the custody of an officer of this Commonwealth pursuant to a detainer issued in accordance with this chapter and who escapes from such custody shall be guilty of a felony and punished by confinement in a state correctional facility for not less than one nor more than five years.Code 1950, § 53-304.5; 1970, c. 407; 1982, c. 636.
