Va. Code § 54.1-301: Department continued; appointment of Director

The Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation within the executive branch is hereby continued. The Department shall be headed by a Director who shall be appointed by the Governor, subject to confirmation by the General Assembly, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor for a term coincident with that of the Governor.1979, c. 408, § 54-1.30; 1984, c. 720; 1988, c. 765; 1993, c. 499.
